THE CHALLENGE

Deltatre needed to scale engineering capacity across multiple product lines simultaneously – their Sports Data and Visualisation products, and their growing Streaming Solutions team. The challenge wasn’t simply finding engineers; it was finding engineers with the specific combination of technical skills and domain experience required to contribute meaningfully to complex, high-performance products used at the top of global sport.

Software Engineers, QA specialists and Infrastructure Engineers were all needed across different workstreams – each with its own technical profile and pace of delivery. Managing that breadth of requirement without sacrificing quality demanded a talent partner with genuine expertise in the space.

WHY AMIGOS?

Deltatre turned to us because of our deep specialism in the sports technology and streaming sector. Having built hiring pipelines for Accedo, DAZN and others across the OTT/Streaming ecosystem, we brought pre-existing knowledge of the technical talent pool, an understanding of the profiles that perform in this environment, and the network to reach them. We weren’t learning the market on their behalf — we already knew it.

OUR APPROACH

We operated across multiple workstreams in parallel, mapping the available talent across each discipline and building targeted pipelines for Software Engineers, QA specialists and Infrastructure Engineers against the specific requirements of each product team.

Our approach to each role began with a thorough understanding of the product context – what the team was building, what the technical environment looked like, and what kind of engineer would thrive in it. This allowed us to go beyond skill-matching and focus on placing people who would genuinely add value to the Deltatre product teams over the long term.

We successfully placed engineers across Deltatre’s Sports Data and Visualisation products and their Streaming Solutions team, contributing to the delivery of multiple key products at one of the most technically demanding sports technology companies in the world.
